Bear Cub Fund applications sought

Applications for the next round of funding from the University’s Bear Cub Fund are due May 5.

The grants range in size from $20,000-$60,000 and are intended to provide support for supplies and/or salary for technical help to support short-term research projects of one year or less.

The fund provides research resources for projects not normally supported by federal sources such as the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation.

The only requirement for submission is that the technology has been previously disclosed in an invention disclosure to the Office of Technology Management. A selection committee of senior faculty and members of the business and technology investment community will review grant applications based primarily on the commercial merit of the project.

Faculty members interested in an application form should go online to otm.wustl.edu or call Tom Hagerty at 747-0926.
