Campus Watch

The following incidents were reported to University Police March 9-15. Readers with information that could assist in investigating these incidents are urged to call 935-5555. This information is provided as a public service to promote safety awareness and is available on the University Police Web site at police.wustl.edu.

March 9

4 p.m. — A suspicious-person call resulted in the arrest of several juvenile subjects from the area near the Liggett Residence Hall bike rack. The suspects were referred to the St. Louis County Juvenile Courts.

March 10

1:04 p.m. — A vehicle with an altered daily permit was found in parking lot No. 35, directly south of Simon Hall. The vehicle was opened and the permit seized. The owner arrived prior to the arrival of the tow truck, and the vehicle was released on a citation.

4:28 p.m. — During routine fire inspection, a bicycle was found locked to the staircase banister inside the south entrance of Bixby Hall. Fire department personnel requested the bicycle removed. Facilities responded and cut the lock. The bike was conveyed to the police department and placed in storage awaiting the owner.

Additionally, University Police responded to two reports of larceny and one auto accident.
