Sophomores Christina Bejarano and Giancarlo Coloñ-Vilar discuss their research project titled “The Willing Suspension of Disbelief: Ethics and Scientific Responsibility in Stanley Milgram’s Study of Obedience” during In the Works: An Exhibition of Latino Contributions Feb. 24 in Uncas A. Whitaker Hall for Biomedical Engineering. The event, sponsored by the Annika Rodríguez Scholarship Program and the Association of Latin American Students, featured exhibits of original student works, including academic research, live mariachi music and theatrical performances, as well as a talk by Ilan Stavans, the Lewis-Sebring Professor in Latin American and Latino Culture at Amherst College.
