Siteman offers free cancer screening

The Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital has teamed up with the St. Louis Rams and Dave Sinclair Auto Group to offer a free prostate cancer screening event in St. Charles County. Participants will receive prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing and have the chance to meet St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy and the Rams Cheerleaders. Autographs, food, giveaways and men’s health information also will be offered.

When: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17

Where: Dave Sinclair Lincoln Mercury St. Peters, 4760 North Service Road, St. Peters, MO 63376

During the screenings, blood will be drawn to measure the level of PSA produced by the prostate. Testing will be available for men age 45 and older; African-American men age 40 and older; and men age 40 and older with a family history of prostate cancer.The screenings are free, but registration is required.
