“Boesman and Lena”

The St. Louis Black Rep will open its 31st season with “Boesman and Lena” at Edison Theatre Sept. 12-23. Written by South African activist Athol Fugard, the story follows two ragged wanderers who have been evicted from their home and are forced to scavenge for shelter, food and firewood in order to survive. The show stars Black Rep veteran Linda Kennedy and company founder Ron Himes, who also serves as the Henry E. Hampton Jr. artist-in-residence in the Performing Arts Department in Arts & Sciences.
