The Washington University School of Medicine Arts Commission will open the annual student, faculty and staff art show on January 17th, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the first floor atrium of the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center (FLTC). The show will run through February 15th.
In recent years, the show has featured work by dozens of WUSM artists creating in a wide variety of traditional and contemporary media. The opening reception brings together a diverse cross-section of our community, their friends and family, to enjoy and discuss the art.
The Commission is now accepting submissions of art for the exhibit at the FLTC security desk. All students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the school are invited to participate. Submissions are due by January 11th, 2008. Please ensure that the work is adequately framed and protected for temporary storage and later display. Art will be returned following the close of the show. Some artists may be invited to consider displaying their art for a longer period of time in the FLTC.
