The following incidents were reported to University Police Jan. 24-30. Readers with information that could assist in investigating these incidents are urged to call 935-5555. Jan. 24

9:35 a.m. — A Teaching Center staff member reported the theft of a laptop computer from a rolling cart in Eads Hall Room 112. The theft occurred sometime between Dec. 21, 2007 and Jan. 22, 2008. Total loss valued at $2,200.

4:14 p.m. — Complainant reported that his bicycle, which has been on the rack outside Wohl Garage since Dec. 27, 2007, had a lock that would not work and appeared as if someone had tried to open it.

Jan. 25

1:17 p.m. — One vehicle struck another in the North Brookings parking lot and then left the scene.

Jan. 26

12:53 a.m. — Several students were referred to Judicial Programs after setting off fireworks outside of Shepley House in the South 40.

Jan. 29

1:11 p.m. — Several suspicious individuals were spotted using computers in Olin Library. A check revealed that two had outstanding warrants and they were arrested.
