Architecture graduate students Michael Heller (left) and Sujaul Khan at work on a new gallery/architecture review room in Steinberg Hall. The project, which is nearing completion, was developed as part of a design/build studio led by Carl Safe, professor of architecture in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. Located on the building’s podium level in a space that previously housed the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum (now located in a new building immediately adjacent to Steinberg), the review room contains a large gallery that also can be used for major critiques and is surrounded by several smaller review spaces. The project was funded by the Sam Fox School and the College of Architecture with support from the University.
