Former congressman Richard A. Gephardt gave his personal insight into the current state of presidential primary affairs to a group of students and faculty who braved an icy, snowy afternoon Feb. 11 to hear him in the Women’s Building Formal Lounge. Gephardt’s experience gives him a point of view known by only a few in this country; he served 14 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives and ran for the Democratic nomination for president in 1988 and 2004. The Gephardt Institute for Public Service sponsored the event.
