Campus Watch

The following incidents were reported to University Police Sept. 16-21. Readers with information that could assist in investigating these incidents are urged to call 935-5555. This information is provided as a public service to promote safety awareness and is available on the University Police Web site at police.wustl.edu.

Sept. 16

11:28 a.m. — A student reported that sometime between Sept. 11 and Sept. 16, a bike was vandalized with a cigarette while parked in the bike rackof Lee House.

4:10 p.m. — A staff member reported a laptop was stolen from his unlocked office in Goldfarb Hall sometime in the past two months.

Sept. 17

10:37 a.m. — A staff member in McDonnell Hall reported losing a Brazilian passport somewhere on campus.

Sept. 18

12:25 a.m. — A disturbance occurred on a bus transporting students to campus after an event.

1:58 a.m. — An argument in the Bears Den escalated into an assault, and an arrest was made.

Sept. 20

12:51 a.m. — A witness in the Snow Way Garage reported that a black SUV struck a parked vehicle and left the scene.

10:58 a.m. — A person reported the theft of a laptop computer from a common area of Hurd House. The laptop was recovered, and an arrest was made.

Sept. 21

11:21 a.m. — A student left an unsecured laptop in an open area of Givens Hall overnight and found it missing the next morning.

3:07 pm. — A student reported parking a bike at a bike rack on the west side of Whitaker Hall on Sept. 18 and finding it missing on Sept. 21.

11:55 p.m. — A person reported an unattended iPod Touch was stolen from the second floor of Olin Library.

Additionally, University police responded to two accidental injuries, one report of fraud, one report of property damage and one sick case.
