Are you looking for a graduate degree program that will give you the tools to help make a difference?
Attend the Idealist.org Graduate Degree Fair for the Public Good from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in the Athletic Complex.
The free event, hosted by the George Warren Brown School of Social Work in cooperation with the Career Center, is dedicated to helping people connect education to a social change career.
Members of both the WUSTL and St. Louis communities will be able to meet with representatives from more than 50 graduate programs from around the country, learn about different graduate degree options that are designed to impact the public good and get insights on the application process from graduate admissions professionals.
“Idealist attracts both high- achieving, passionate students and leading institutions to their events,” said Richard Sigg, admissions recruiter for the Brown School. “This fair is an essential first step for anyone considering a career that will make a positive impact on the community.”
Idealist is a project of Action Without Borders, a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 with offices in the United States and Argentina. Idealist.org is an interactive Web site where people and organizations can exchange resources and ideas, locate opportunities and supporters, and take steps toward building a world where all people can lead free and dignified lives.
The group holds graduate program fairs and social change job fairs throughout the year. This is the first time an Idealist.org fair has been held in St. Louis.
