Many happy returns

Margaret Bush Wilson, prominent civil rights attorney in the 1960s and emerita trustee, receives a certificate from Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton during her 90th birthday celebration Jan. 30 at the Scott Joplin House in St. Louis. Wilson was the first woman to chair the board of directors of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the second woman of color admitted to practice law in Missouri. A St. Louis native, she served on WUSTL’s Board of Trustees from 1978-1987 and is a charter member of the Arts & Sciences National Council.
