Mr. Wash U

Junior Nick Prickel is hoisted onto his competitors’ shoulders after a panel of judges selected him as Mr. Wash U Feb. 26 in Edison Theatre. Prickel was one of 16 students vying for the title. The competition included raising money for the chosen charity, City Faces, and a “talent” show in which Prickel channeled *NSYNC and performed “Bye Bye Bye.” Started in 2001, Mr. Wash U recognizes an undergraduate male with outstanding personality, character, integrity, extracurricular involvement and contribution to the University and St. Louis communities. This year’s competition raised more than $30,000 for City Faces, a local nonprofit organization started by Bob Hansman, associate professor of architecture and artist-in-residence in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts’ College of Architecture, that works to bring arts education to children in public housing.
