WUSTL chancellor and Sen. John Danforth to discuss major announcement on religion and politics during Dec. 16 media briefing

WHAT: Officials from Washington University and the Danforth Foundation will hold a media briefing to discuss a major announcement focused on religion and politics that is being made at 10:30 a.m. EST on Dec. 16 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

WHEN: Media briefing at Washington University is at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009

WHERE: Alumni House living room, 6510 Wallace Drive, off Forsyth Blvd., near the intersection of Big Bend and Forsyth boulevards.

Media parking will be available in front of the Alumni House.

WHO: John C. Danforth, former U.S. senator and former ambassador to the United Nations and chairman of the Danforth Foundation; Mark S. Wrighton, chancellor of Washington University in St. Louis; and Wayne Fields, the Lynne Cooper Harvey Distinguished Professor of English and professor of American culture studies in Arts & Sciences, Washington University in St. Louis

All participants will be available for one-on-one interviews immediately following the media briefing.
