Susan Deusinger, PhD, executive director of the Program in Physical Therapy and professor of physical therapy and of neurology, and Bob Deusinger, PhD, associate professor of physical therapy and of orthopaedic surgery, received the Charles M. Magistro Distinguished Service Award from the Foundation for Physical Therapy. The award honors an individual or individuals for outstanding service and personal commitment toward promoting the foundation’s goals. …

Christine Floss, PhD, research associate professor of physics in Arts & Sciences, has received a three-year, $368,000 grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for research titled “Characterization of Silicate Stardust Grains in Primitive Meteorites.” …

Bradley Jolliff, PhD, research professor of earth and planetary sciences in Arts & Sciences, has received a two-year $137,500 grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for research titled “Geochemistry and Distribution of TI in Lunar Regolith: Implications for Remote Sensing and Resources.”

Pier Marton, senior lecturer in Film and Media Studies in Arts & Sciences, introduced a screening of the documentary La France Des Camps (The French Camps) 1938-1946 April 25 at the Holocaust Museum and Research Center. The film was shown in conjunction with the exhibition “Faces Through the Bars: The Rivesaltes Internment Camp.” …

Frederick Sweet, PhD, professor of obstetrics and gynecology, spoke at the Round Table Discussion on higher education at the University of Sarajevo’s 60th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony May 20.
