Melany Lopez, a Washington University student associate in Lee Residence Hall and a sophomore in Arts & Sciences, helps newly arriving freshman students move into their new home-away-from-home Aug. 26. A record-number 1,633 freshmen moved into residence halls on the South 40 during a delightfully pleasant 80-degree move-in day. Freshmen and new students have been enjoying a variety of orientation activities throughout the weekend, and classes for the 2010 fall semester begin Tuesday, Aug. 31.
