School of Medicine’s magazine launches online edition

Outlook, the magazine for the School of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, is debuting a new, enhanced online edition Oct. 19.

The online version will publish six times each year, allowing the magazine to communicate with its audiences more frequently.

The online version will include multimedia presentations of featured articles, along with news about School of Medicine events and the activities of its students, faculty, alumni and staff.

Visit outlook.wustl.edu to view the October 2010 issue, featuring stories about a multidisciplinary effort to treat an uncommon blood disorder, a slideshow presentation of the new BJC Institute of Health at Washington University School of Medicine, a program that introduces medical students to the realities of public health care and more.

The print edition of Outlook will continue to cover the School of Medicine’s research, teaching and clinical missions as well as alumni activities. It will publish three times each year.
