Students enjoy a late-fall day in front of the award-winning South 40 House on the Danforth Campus. In November, the South 40 House, next-door neighbor Umrath House and contractor Clayco Inc. were recognized by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of St. Louis with the AGC’s Keystone Project of the Year Award. The award honors companies that tackle challenges and discover solutions to make a lasting contribution to the St. Louis community and the construction industry. Phase 1 of the South 40 development, which opened in Summer 2009 and received LEED Silver certification, included Umrath Hall and residential and kitchen space in the South 40 House.
