Spreading holiday cheer

William R. True, PhD, research professor at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, delivers a few toys to the commons of Goldfarb Hall Dec. 15. The student group Stand United for Veterans at the Brown School hosted the toy drive and a cookie reception to thank the United States Marine Corps Reservists who work tirelessly every holiday season to help underprivileged youth have toys during the holidays. The Toys for Tots program uses local social service agencies and other organizations to distribute the toys in the local community. Marines also distribute toys directly to needy children in hospitals, shelters or at special children’s events.
