Wilson makes list of most-cited authors

Richard Wilson, PhD, director of Washington University’s Genome Institute, was one of the most cited authors of 2010, according to Thomson Reuters Science Watch. The annual survey tracks research across various scientific disciplines to determine which papers published in the past two years were cited most often by other scientists.

Wilson was listed among the top 13 researchers with the most cited papers. He had eight “hot” papers that included sequencing-based studies of leukemia, lung cancer and glioblastoma.

Genetics was the most popular field of scientific research cited by Science Watch. Seven of the top 13 researchers in 2010 worked in the field of genetics.
