After the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences Minority Research Scholars Symposium April 20 at the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center, Mario Ortega (left), a predoctoral trainee in the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences and Sebastian Lourido, a graduate research assistant, talk with keynote speaker Guillermina (Gigi) Lozano, PhD (second from right), professor and chair of the Department of Genetics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Lisa Jones, a postdoctoral research associate from the Department of Chemistry. The symposium was sponsored by the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences Diversity Programs Office and included a poster session and reception. Lourido and Jones gave presentations at the symposium, and Ortega presented a poster.
