Crane, MD, associate vice chancellor for clinical affairs; and Gregg Evans, human resources consultant, lead about 1,500 School of Medicine employees on the “Dean’s Dash,” a walk around Hudlin Park, Sept. 28 to kick off Tread the Med, the School of Medicine’s walking campaign. More than 120 teams and nearly 1,900 employees have registered for the program, which encourages walking 10,000 steps a day. The program’s first 100 days, called Be a Walk Star, has a goal of all participants walking 1 million steps, or the approximate 560-mile distance from the Hard Rock Café in St. Louis to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
