Australian alliance

Andreas Schloenhardt, PhD, associate dean and associate professor of law at the University of Queensland (UQ) TC Beirne School of Law, presents “Be Careful What You Pay For: Trafficking in Persons in Australia,” Oct. 7 in Anheuser-Busch Hall. Schloenhardt’s lecture, part of a visit to the law school by a delegation from UQ’s TC Beirne School of Law, was co-sponsored by the Public Interest Law & Policy Speakers Series, the Civil Rights & Community Justice Clinic, the Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Work and Social Capital’s Human Trafficking Project and the Whitney R. Harris World Law Institute. The School of Law recently launched a formal alliance with the UQ, one of Australia’s premier learning and research institutions. Beginning this fall, the law school and UQ’s TC Beirne School of Law are offering a four-year combined degree program.
