Chazen, Career Center business development specialist, 37

Phillip Todd Chazen, a business development specialist in the Career Center at Washington University in St. Louis, died Jan. 26. He was 37.

Chazen

Chazen graduated from Washington University in 1996 with bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and secondary education.

After graduation, he worked for seven years as a math teacher in local school districts. He then worked with SCORE! Educational Centers, a division of Kaplan Testing, and with Teach for America, before joining the Career Center in November 2011.

Graveside services were held Sunday, Jan. 29, at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 650 White Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions preferred to the Edward Jones “Landon Chazen Fund,” 1345 Queens Court, Suite A, St. Peters, Mo., 63376.

The Washington University flag was lowered to half-staff Jan. 31 in his memory.
