Healthy eating competition

The competition pitted Team North — representing The Village, Millbrook Apartments and off-campus housing — against Team South, representing the South 40. For the competition, WUSTL Dining Services chefs paired up with students to produce the tastiest dishes that also followed the and Connie’s Choice guidelines for healthy eating. The winning team, Team North, was led by Rushing and chef Patrick McElroy and included Brenner and senior Jen Minkowitz. Team North served judges an appetizer of seared rabbit loin with mixed grain salad and carrot-fennel shooter and a meal of Moroccan spiced lamb with harrissa “risotto” and quick carrot-okra compote.
