Class of 2015 celebrates first year

The Freshman Class Council and The First Year Center sponsored this signature celebration in Graham Chapel, which included remarks, student performances and an awards presentation. Freshmen nominate people who have had a positive impact on their year, and awards are given for outstanding faculty member, staff member, academic adviser, residential adviser (RA), WU student associate (WUSA), Bon Appetit staff and floor community. Below, Mike Saxvik, coordinator for student involvement and leadership, presents the award for Outstanding Freshman Leader to Madhana Pandian. Pandian, an active member of Ashoka and the Student Advisory Council, is also a Student Union senator who has worked to improve offerings for students needing academic assistance.
