New students move in Aug. 23

More than 1,700 new students (freshmen, transfer and exchange) move onto the Washington University in St. Louis campus starting at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23. Five full days of orientation, better known as Bear Beginnings, take place through Monday, Aug. 27.

About 4,000 people — including new students and their family members — will be participating in a wide range of activities to become better acclimated to the university. For a full schedule, visit Bear Beginnings 2012. For additional information, visit the First Year Center.

Upperclass students will move in throughout the weekend, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.
