WUSTL Athletics announces fall, winter live webcast schedule

Washington University in St. Louis is set to stream 62 live athletic events through Stretch Internet during the fall and winter seasons, starting with football, volleyball and soccer events next week. Stretch Internet is the official web-streaming provider for the Washington University Department of Athletics.

Live webcasting will kick off Friday, Aug. 31, with the No. 2-ranked volleyball team hosting Fontbonne University at 5 p.m. and the No. 9-ranked women’s soccer team taking on Alma College at 5 p.m. The volleyball Bears also will host William Woods University at 7 p.m. on Friday, followed by a live broadcast of the Bears’ football home opener against three-time NCAA Division III defending national champion University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at 8:30 p.m.

Bears’ fans can access live webcasts of athletic events free of charge throughout the year and view a list of future events to be streamed by visiting bearsports.wustl.edu and clicking the “Bear TV” link on the right-hand side. Washington University is scheduled to stream five football games, seven men’s soccer matches, nine women’s soccer matches, 11 women’s basketball games, 13 men’s basketball games and 17 volleyball matches in addition to any postseason events the Bears host.

Jay Murry will provide play-by-play action for football and men’s and women’s basketball contests, while Bill Bommarito will serve as the voice of the volleyball Bears. Senior Eric Walls will broadcast men’s and women’s soccer games.
