New office supplies contract announced

Washington University in St. Louis, in collaboration with BJC Health System, has selected OfficeMax as the new contracted supplier for office supplies. A Request for Proposal recently was completed and OfficeMax submitted the most competitive package to WUSTL and BJC. OfficeMax will begin deliveries to the university Dec. 11.

Every WUSTL department will realize substantial cost savings with OfficeMax. University officials estimate the overall savings will exceed one million dollars per year.

OfficeMax has been a leader in the office supply and paper industry since 1964 and has a significant presence in the higher education market. OfficeMax has been BJC’s contracted supplier for almost 10 years and has serviced that account extremely well.

The OfficeMax ordering process using WUSTL Marketplace is similar to how departments have been ordering office supplies, which will make the transition seamless.

The new agreement will provide cost savings, quality products, timely service and desktop deliveries. For more information, contact Alan Kuebler at Alan_kuebler@wustl.edu or (314) 935-5727; or Bob_weinstein@wustl.edu or (314) 935-4298.
