Gingerbread Chapel

Dining Services staff recently collaborated to create a festive gingerbread Graham Chapel, now on view in Danforth University Center. Mike Healy, campus catering chef, proposed the plan based on his decorative vision and successfully carried it out with the creative talents of colleagues. Collaborators included campus pastry chef Starr Murphy, catering manager April Morrison and pastry team member Sarah Brooks. The finished product took a little more than a week to complete, using an estimated 40 lbs. of royal icing to hold the chapel together. The gingerbread chapel eventually will be relocated to the home of Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton and his wife, Risa Zwerling Wrighton, for the remainder of the holiday season.
