Internship ‘SLAM’ offered for students and local employers Feb. 22

Students looking for a St. Louis-based internship will have an opportunity to hear quick ‘open mic’ pitches from a group of local employers. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the Women’s Building Formal Lounge.

Each organization will have 45 seconds to showcase its internship program in a fast-moving, on-stage lineup. Immediately following the pitch, students will have the chance to speak with employers at designated stations around the room to learn the details about the internship and ask questions.

Students are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, and professional attire is recommended, but not required.

Select registered employers include Boeing, the Contemporary Art Museum, Coolfire Media, Elan Polo, Evetos, Jane Doe Advocacy Center and the Missouri Botanical Garden. For the most up-to-date list of participating employers, go to: http://careercenter.wustl.edu/events/Pages/InternshipSLAM.aspx
