Emergency kits for offices available

There’s now a simple way to be sure your office is prepared in case of an emergency.

Washington University in St. Louis Emergency Management officials announced that managers across campus can order standard emergency preparedness kits for their offices.

The kits serve about 25 people and cost $69.50. Emergency preparedness coordinators or managers can order them from Grainger using the WUSTL Marketplace. Included in the kit are an assortment of basic first aid supplies, a flashlight, whistle, duct tape, dust masks and scissors. Other items, such as a wrench or cellphone charger, can be added on to the kit orders.

In the future, WUSTL emergency officials and Grainger hope to work together to develop a personal kit that employees could purchase for home use.
