The cancer genetic counselor helps bridge the gap between what genome sequencing can tell patients and what patients and their families want to know

Cancer genetic counselor Jennifer Ivanovich, a research assistant professor at the School of Medicine, also is co-founder and director of the Young Women’s Breast Cancer Program at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. Helping people who are vulnerable or at risk is a professional and personal goal of hers, she said.
