St. Louis attorney Rudy Telscher argues before a panel of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law faculty during a special moot court program Jan. 29 in the Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom of Anheuser-Busch Hall. The program provided Telscher, an attorney with Harness, Dickey & Pierce, an opportunity to prepare for a landmark intellectual property case, Octane Fitness LLC v. Icon Health & Fitness Inc., which the U.S. Supreme Court will hear in late February. Students who attended were able to learn more about intellectual property law, the appellate process and the preparation needed to argue before the Supreme Court. “We are honored to have been asked to help Harness, Dickey & Pierce prepare to argue this important case before the U.S. Supreme Court,” said Daniel Keating, dean and the Tyrrell Williams Professor of Law. “It demonstrates the law school’s expertise in both intellectual property issues and the workings of the country’s highest court.” Read more about the case and the moot court program here.
