Brown School honors distinguished alumni

The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis bestowed one Distinguished Faculty Award and five Distinguished Alumni Awards during its annual alumni awards celebration dinner March 26 at the Palladium Saint Louis. Among the five, two alumni were selected as outstanding Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD).

Distinguished Alumni Awards went to:

  • Adjoa A. Aiyetoro, MSW ’69, associate professor at the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock;
  • Bethany Johnson-Javois, MSW ’02, CEO, St. Louis Integrated Health Network; and
  • Halbert Sullivan, MSW ’97, CEO, Fathers’ Support Center, St. Louis.

GOLD awards went to:

  • Ian Anand Forber-Pratt, MSW ’09, president and founder, Foster Care India; and
  • Ryan Sterling, MSW/MPH ’11, director of strategic planning, St Louis Regional Health Commission.

Tim McBride, PhD, professor at Brown School, was given the Distinguished Faculty Award.
