Agrawal awarded collaborative NSF grant

Agrawal

Kunal Agrawal, PhD, assistant professor of computer science and engineering, received a four-year, $330,000 grant for her work titled “XPS: FULL: FP: Collaborative Research: Taming Parallelism: Optimally Exploiting High-throughput Parallel Architectures.”

The award is a collaborative effort with Milind Kulkarni, of Purdue University, under the National Science Foundation’s XPS program. The goal is to design scheduling algorithms, compiler support and runtime systems to support general task-parallel programs on vector machines and GPUs which generally only support limited forms of data parallelism.
