Burnham receives skin flora research grant

Carey-Ann Burnham, PhD, associate professor of pathology and immunology and of pediatrics and medical director of the clinical microbiology laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has received a one-year, $58,750 grant from The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Washington University Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences for research titled “Sequencing and Culture-Based Evaluation of Skin Flora Following Decolonization.”

Burnham also received the Ellis Benson Award at the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists meeting in San Francisco in 2014.
