Poster series highlights African-Americans in science

A series of posters highlighting African-Americans in science and technology is being displayed on the Medical and Danforth campuses through April 17.

The series can be seen on the Danforth Campus from March 4-10 in the lobby and psychology lounge of the Psychology Building; and March 25-April 17 in the Olin Library.

The posters can be seen on the Medical Campus from March 11-17 in the lobby outside the Shell Café and from March 18-24 in the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM).

Among the featured scientists and inventors are Sarah K. England, PhD, the Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Professor of Medicine and a professor of obstetrics and gynecology; and Samuel Achilefu, PhD, a professor of radiology and co-leader of the Oncologic Imaging Program at Siteman Cancer Center.

The Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences’ Office of Diversity Programs and the Health Information Resources Department at Becker Medical Library are sponsoring the poster series.
