Traffic delays expected on eastbound Forest Park Avenue

Contractors are to begin pouring concrete June 11 on the metal decking of the new Barnes-Jewish Hospital tower. The work may lead to some intermittent delays for the next several months on eastbound Forest Park Avenue east of Kingshighway Boulevard.

Up to six concrete trucks will line up in the far right lane of southbound Kingshighway, north of Forest Park Avenue. These trucks will be called one at a time to proceed east on Forest Park Avenue past the construction site. A traffic controller will stop traffic for the brief time it takes the driver to back into the construction site.

The project team will monitor the situation and noise to determine whether adjustments to the schedule will be necessary.

Questions can be directed to BJCConstruction@bjc.org or the construction hotline, 314-362-1241.
