Yuntong Ma, a fourth-year medical student at Washington University School of Medicine, has received a 2015 Gates Cambridge Scholarship to pursue graduate studies at the University of Cambridge in England.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation established the Gates Cambridge Scholarships in 2000 with a $210 million endowment to enable outstanding graduate students from outside the United Kingdom to pursue full-time graduate studies at Cambridge. The scholarships cover the full cost of studying at the university.

At Cambridge, Ma plans to pursue an MPhil in sociology, focusing on social behavior and social change as it relates to in vitro fertilization and other reproductive technologies. She will enroll in the fall.
