Savoie teaches lighting class at international conference

Sean M. Savoie, senior lecturer in drama and coordinator of the design-technical theater program in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, taught a professional development class at the Entertainment Technology New Zealand Inc. (ETNZ) 2015 Conference: “Big Steps Forward.”

ETNZ recognizes and supports technicians and designers working in the entertainment industry. The conference is open to those with an interest in the technical side of theater or entertainment and includes professional-development sessions, seminar sessions and a tradeshow.

Savoie taught a class titled “Projection in Lighting Design” in June. He currently serves as lighting designer, production manager and design coordinator for the university’s Performing Arts Department and is also a frequent designer in the St. Louis theater community and production manager for Union Avenue Opera.
