At the Washington University in St. Louis Board of Trustees meeting Oct. 2, the following faculty members were appointed with tenure or promoted with tenure, effective Oct. 2 unless otherwise indicated.
Appointment with Tenure
Craig A. Buchman, MD, to professor of otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) in the School of Medicine;
Scott H. Frey, PhD, to professor of occupational therapy in the School of Medicine;
Farshid Guilak, PhD, to professor of orthopaedic surgery in the School of Medicine (effective Jan. 1, 2016);
Munish C. Gupta, MD, to professor of orthopaedic surgery in the School of Medicine;
Durga P. Mohapatra, PhD, to associate professor of anesthesiology in the School of Medicine;
David H. Perlmutter, MD, to professor of pediatrics in the School of Medicine (effective Dec. 1, 2015);
Lori Setton, PhD, to professor of biomedical engineering in the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences;
Richard D. Vierstra, PhD, to professor of biology in Arts & Sciences; and
Adia Harvey Wingfield, PhD, to professor of sociology in Arts & Sciences.
In addition, Brett D. Wick, PhD, was appointed associate professor of mathematics in Arts & Sciences earlier this year, and began Sept. 1.
