Question: In recognition of March being Women’s History Month, what Washington University distinction does Phoebe Couzins hold?
Answer: She was the first woman graduate of Washington University School of Law, in 1871. (She was also among the first female lawyers in the U.S. and was active in the women’s suffrage movement.)
Congrats to this week’s winner, Lisa Tindall, of Alumni & Development Programs, who will receive an ‘I Knew WashU’ luggage tag!
