Award-winning Mosaic Whispers to perform this weekend

Co-ed a cappella group celebrates 25 years

Student a cappella group Mosaic Whispers will perform two concerts on the Washington University in St. Louis campus this weekend: at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, in Simon Hall’s Emerson Auditorium and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in Graham Chapel.

The group just won the Midwest semifinals of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) and later this month will compete against nine other top a cappella ensembles at the ICCA Finals at the Beacon Theatre in New York.

The campus show, “Splash of Color,” will feature music from the co-ed group’s 25-year history as well as songs from its critically acclaimed album Wavelength.” For more information, visit Mosaic Whispers.

“This is only the second time a WashU a cappella group has advanced to finals,” member  Rohan Khazanchi said. “This competition will place our group  on an international stage in front of the top leaders of the vocal music community.”
