Mosaic Whispers, the oldest co-ed a cappella ensemble at Washington University in St. Louis, will compete Saturday, April 30, in the Super Bowl of singing — the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella Finals at the Beacon Theatre in New York.

The set will include an emotional rendition of the Sia hit, “Elastic Heart,” which won music director Katie Greenberg an award for best arrangement.

In this podcast, music directors Greenberg and Hannah Lacava, and vocal percussionist Rohan Khazanchi, all juniors in Arts & Sciences, explain how they picked “Elastic Heart,” the “Pitch Perfect” effect and how Khazanchi can make “all of these sounds with my face.”
