Lee Epstein, the Ethan A.H. Shepley Distinguished University Professor at Washington University in St. Louis, will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Law and Courts Section of the American Political Science Association at its annual meeting in September in Philadelphia.

Epstein will be honored for “a lifetime of significant scholarship, teaching, and service to the Law and Courts field.” The Law and Courts Section promotes interest in teaching and research in the areas of law and the judicial process. Epstein holds a joint appointment in the Department of Political Science in Arts & Sciences and in the School of Law.
