Four Washington University graduates selected as Fulbright students

Four Washington University in St. Louis alumni have been selected to conduct research or teach English this year as participants in the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.

The program recognizes talented students who are committed to promoting global collaboration and understanding through research and teaching.

Washington University participants are:

  • Ezinne Chinenye Arizor, who graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in international and area studies from Arts & Sciences, will study at Yonsei University in South Korea;
  • Charlie James Geerts, who graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Arts & Sciences, will teach English in Germany; 
  • Amanda Nicole Harris, who graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Arts & Sciences,  will study at Universidad de Tarapacá in Chile; and 
  • Rachel Carolyn Sumption, who graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Jewish, Islamic and Near Eastern studies from Arts & Sciences, will teach English in Morocco.
