Question: How many times has the Olympic flame been near Washington University?

Answer: C) The Olympic flame has been near the university four times: in 1904, when the Olympic Games were held on and near Francis Field; and in 1984, 1996 and 2004, the 100th anniversary of the games in St. Louis, as part of the torch relay preceding the Olympics.

Congrats to this week’s winner, Rebecca Cochran, a technologist in the Department of Pediatrics at the School of Medicine, who will receive an “I Knew WashU” luggage tag!
