Washington University in St. Louis faculty and staff are being encouraged to contribute to Our Washington, the employee component of Leading Together: The Campaign for Washington University.

Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton is deeply appreciative of the generous faculty and staff who contribute their creative work and financial support to advance the mission of Washington University.

“Sustained support from the dedicated members of our faculty and staff has helped make Leading Together a success,” Wrighton said, “but we have more work to do. Every gift, large or small, will advance our efforts to expand scholarship opportunities and conduct groundbreaking research. Financial support from longtime faculty and staff — those who have already given so much to the university through their service — is particularly appreciated by our alumni and friends.”

Already, 6,734 faculty and staff have contributed $52.5 million to Our WashingtonLeading Together, which concludes June 30, 2018, has reached its goal of $2.5 billion. During the last 15 months of the campaign, efforts will continue to seek funding for remaining key initiatives identified in the university’s $4 billion strategic plan, including support for professorships, scholarships, facilities, academic programs and the annual fund.

“The challenges facing the global community are many and complex,” Wrighton said. “We at Washington University are committed to tackling the world’s most pressing issues and educating new generations of leaders to continue our work.”

Employees may donate through a monthly payroll deduction, online or by mail. Bequests and planned gifts also count toward Our Washington.
