WHAT: Washington University in St. Louis is proud to welcome media for an insider look at the new East End Transformation. The 2-year $360 million campus expansion adds three new academic buildings; two new multi-use facilities; an expansion of the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum; and an underground parking garage topped by an expansive new park. Sustainability, interdisciplinary collaborations and community connectedness were all central to the project.
WHO: Henry S. Webber, executive vice chancellor and chief administrative officer, and James Kolker, associate vice chancellor and university architect, will brief reporters on the project; representatives from East End project partners will also be on hand.
WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 26. Briefing starts at 2 p.m.; a tour of the spaces will immediately follow.
WHERE: Washington University’s Sumers Welcome Center, Room 211
PARKING: Will be available in the East End parking garage. There are marked visitor spaces on the first level. From there, walk to the southwest corner to access Sumers at the garage level.
